Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell Review

  • Title: Eleanor and Park (Exclusive Collector’s Edition)
  • Author: Rainbow Rowell
  • Publisher: St. Martin’s Griffith
  • Page Count: 336 pgs.
  • My Goodreads Rating: 1 stars
  • My Actual Rating: 0 stars
  • Summary from Goodreads: Two misfits.
One extraordinary love.Eleanor… Red hair, wrong clothes. Standing behind him until he turns his head. Lying beside him until he wakes up. Making everyone else seem drabber and flatter and never good enough…Eleanor.

Park… He knows she’ll love a song before he plays it for her. He laughs at her jokes before she ever gets to the punch line. There’s a place on his chest, just below his throat, that makes her want to keep promises…Park.

Set over the course of one school year, this is the story of two star-crossed sixteen-year-olds—smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try.

Limited collector’s edition of Eleanor & Park features a new jacket, an exclusive Q&A with author Rainbow Rowell, and several stunning pieces of fan art.

This book was one of the worst books I’ve ever read. I became so bored with the book from the start and it never got better. I failed to see why so many have enjoyed this book and my review will be whole lot shorter this time. I don’t remember mucha bout this book because I was so focused on finshing and trying to get to a good part by skimming that I didn’t absorb the book. It took me almost a month and I’m on the verge of a reading slump because I haven’t been able to read anything but this (boring) book for almost a month. While putting a small review into Goodreads, I noticed a review of this book that read many of my thoughts about this book. You can read it here -> https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/952952254?book_show_action=false&from_review_page=1

Love at last word?: Absolutely not. This book was very boring and I hated it. I would not recommend it. The only thing I liked was the pretty fan art.
